Today I am sharing with you are pretty simple and quick tutorial on how to make these sweet 3D Paper Hot Air Balloons with your Silhouette machine.
I downloaded the file from the Silhouette online store here.
And here is how it will open in Silhouette Studio.
You’ll have 6 balloon shapes in total, fold each in half along the perforated line. They are easy to put together from here – use double sided tape and attach one half of a balloon to another one half. Keep going in this manner until all of the balloon shapes are used. Don’t forget to attach the basket of the balloons in the same way.
Here you can see that I only have one more balloon piece to go.
Now glue your two top loops together and add pretty ribbon or twine for hanging.
So cute hey?
And great for Valentines Day too!
I love how when you pass by these hanging balloons they twirl with the light movement of air.
I have been waiting to take pictures of these balloons for days now, it’s always dark now when I get home from work and I refuse to take pictures at night. Beautiful natural daylight gives the best photo results.
Happy Valentine’s Crafting…stay tuned I have tons more Valentine paper crafts to share with you in the coming days!

Wow so lovely idea! They looks so neat, maybe I should consider to make them with my utility knife (don’t own a silhouette). Thank you for such cool idea, have a beautiful sunday!!!
