Hi everyone!
Today I am sharing my Book Page Christmas Tree Tutorial with you.
I love these, they are classy yet rustic at the same time.
These are the supplies I used.
2 Square Glass Jars with lids
Spanish Moss
Skewers
Wooden balls for the top (optional)
An unused book
Paper cutter or scissors
I cut my paper into squares ranging from 3”x3” down to 1/2”x1/2”. Based on the size of your base your paper sizes may vary.
Fill your jar with spanish moss, this helps keep the skewer stabilized.
My lids were metal and I needed a hole in the top. I used a counter sink tool (I think that’s what it is called) Apparently you can get different ones, the one I used had a pointy tip so after placing it in the center of the lid and hitting it with the hammer several (I mean several) times, it finally punctured a hole.
Push the skewer down through the hole, into the spanish moss, flat end first.
Using the pointy top of the skewer, puncture then slide on your paper pieces starting with the largest. Put a few of your largest size on, and then work your way through your sizes, a few at a time until you reach the top. Then finish off by adding a little wooden ball to the top – or how about a paper star or a bow!
They turned out wonderful, don`t you think?
And it really doesn’t matter what kind of book you use, this book is an old book on water and waste water technology!
I don’t think anyone will try to read the little squares!
So chic, I’m in love!
Thanks so much for visiting, I’m so glad you did.

What a great idea! I’ve taken an oath to NOT buy any more art supplies for at least 6 months, so these trees will be a good project for me. I already have lots of unused books, spanish moss and skeweres (and several pairs of scissors!). Thanks for sharing!
Sorry, “skewers”.

This is darling. I agree with one comment how could I destroy a book. Well I go to Goodwill and find books that have way off ideas and seem not to be popular. I am definitely gonna do this. You are very talented.
