Smiley Face Chocolate Chip Muffins

pm1 2045 Smiley Face Chocolate Chip Muffins

It will put a smile on their faces when
they open their lunch box to find these
cutie pies…
and I just don`t mean your kids,
I`d love to find this in my lunch box!

 Smiley Face Chocolate Chip Muffins

These muffins were made from a pre-made mix
and I`m okay with that.
I`m a busy working Mom
and not everything can come from scratch.

 Smiley Face Chocolate Chip Muffins

I did add extra chocolate chips though.

 Smiley Face Chocolate Chip Muffins

Are you okay with baking/cooking from a
pre-made mix?
My family doesn’t mind at all and let’s face it
we are so busy – work, school, lunches to
prepare, houses to clean, grocery’s to get,
banking to take care of…
the list goes on & on.

 Smiley Face Chocolate Chip Muffins

Mmmmm…I think I’ll have one right now!

DIY: Altered Notebook with Mini File Folders

1 PM007 DIY: Altered Notebook with Mini File Folders
This altered notebook is for my daughter.
School is right around the corner and I
thought it would be  cute for her to have
a notebook that she could use for friends
phone number and addresses
but was also big enough for her doodles and
all the fun things that her and her friends do together.
As a tween they love to write everything
down from favorite teachers
to favorite outfits…and perhaps some
not so favorite things too!
DIY: Altered Notebook with Mini File Folders

The free file this week from Silhouette was a file folder. How perfect!
I re-sized it to my preference and cut them
out on patterned scrapbook paper.
I picked up a notebook at the Dollar Store.
DIY: Altered Notebook with Mini File Folders

Here are the mini file folders in
comparison to my hand, so cute!

DIY: Altered Notebook with Mini File Folders

I covered the notebook with scrapbook paper and added
a scalloped boarder to the top and bottom.
I cut a label also with the Silhouette, I left it blank so
my daughter could personalize it herself.

1 pm008 DIY: Altered Notebook with Mini File Folders
I glued the mini file folders on the pages, about every 8
pages or so. She can keep things that they make
during recess or little trinkets in them.

I covered the back of the notebook as well.

This is a quick and easy project that you can
do with your daughter or her & her
friends can do together!

Back to School Girlfriend Gift

Hi girlfriends! I’m Sarah from Alderberry Hill!

I am thrilled to be a part of Kelly’s Back to School Series
here at Here Comes The Sun.
Many thanks to you Kelly for including me!

I’m so excited for back to school…yay!

Here in Newfoundland the kids go back to school
in early September…my two on September 4th.

So my daughter wanted a little something to give to
her girlfriends on the first day of school.
And since I’m such a craftin’ Mama, and I
was itching to use my new Silhouette Cameo,
I whipped up these little babies.

Back to School Pencil Boxes

After the boxes were cut out of cardstock I simply
put them together with double stick tape.

 Back to School Girlfriend Gift

The file came with a cute pencil embellishment which
I cut with patterned scrapbooking paper.

I then cut out a cute tag on coordinating patterened scrapbooking paper and the words
“back to school”
to adhere to the tag. I tied it to the box with
matching ribbon and way to go!
