Creepy Halloween Printables

We are getting so close to Halloween!!

Do you have a Halloween display in your home or perhaps you go all out and

decorate several rooms?

I have had a couple of Halloween parties for the kids in the past but this year we are taking a break from the parties so I have been slacking off in the Halloween department.

My kiddos were disappointed and their jaws dropped to the floor when I said I didn’t think I was going to decorate outside this year.

They said I was ruining the tradition…so after they layered a thick blanket of guilt on me I hauled the boxes of decorations up from the basement and started

decorating outside yesterday.

I also added a few more things to my decor in the house too…having a puppy around sure does make it hard to decorate…kind of like having a baby in the house…I have to puppy proof everything!

Here’s our 8 month old Lab wearing some very cool John Lennon style skeleton glasses!

See the blue tattered blanket? Yes, he shreds all of his belongings…the joys of owing a Lab!

Since I was in the Halloween spirit I experimented with a few graphics from the Graphics fairy.

These Creepy Halloween images are all 8×10 and are ready for you to download and frame!

Chocolate Covered Paper Strawberries

Chocolate Covered Paper Strawberries I thumb Chocolate Covered Paper Strawberries

These chocolate covered paper strawberries are just the cutest paper craft I have seen in a while. I found the cutting file in the Silhouette online store and immediately downloaded it.

Here’s the supplies I used

1 – 12 x 12 sheet of red cardstock

1 – 6.5 x 12 piece of green cardstock

1 – 3 x 10 piece of brown cardstock

Hot glue & gun

Twine or ribbon

Here are the screen shots from Silhouette Studio. I resized the file to my liking.

Fold the strawberry along the perforations and fold into place, gluing the short tab to the petal.

I tied a knot in my twine and then fed the twine through the petals of the strawberry.

Here’s a shot showing the twine through all the petals.

Gently but firmly pull tight.

And secure with a little dab of hot glue.

Slide the large petal down over the twine and then the smaller petal, securing with a dab of hot glue.

Then fold the chocolate piece along the perorations, fold to create the final shape and glue the tab in place. Then put a few dabs of hot glue on the inside of the chocolate shape and place over the point part of the strawberry, be sure to line up the corners.

The three of these take approximately 20 mins to make.

3D Paper Hot Air Balloons

Today I am sharing with you are pretty simple and quick tutorial on how to make these sweet 3D Paper Hot Air Balloons with your Silhouette machine.

I downloaded the file from the Silhouette online store here.

And here is how it will open in Silhouette Studio.

Hot Air Balloon thumb 3D Paper Hot Air Balloons

You’ll have 6 balloon shapes in total, fold each in half along the perforated line. They are easy to put together from here – use double sided tape and attach one half of a balloon to another one half. Keep going in this manner until all of the balloon shapes are used. Don’t forget to attach the basket of the balloons in the same way.

Here you can see that I only have one more balloon piece to go.

Now glue your two top loops together and add pretty ribbon or twine for hanging.

So cute hey?

And great for Valentines Day too!

I love how when you pass by these hanging balloons they twirl with the light movement of air.

I have been waiting to take pictures of these balloons for days now, it’s always dark now when I get home from work and I refuse to take pictures at night. Beautiful natural daylight gives the best photo results.
