These chocolate covered paper strawberries are just the cutest paper craft I have seen in a while. I found the cutting file in the Silhouette online store and immediately downloaded it.
Here’s the supplies I used
1 – 12 x 12 sheet of red cardstock
1 – 6.5 x 12 piece of green cardstock
1 – 3 x 10 piece of brown cardstock
Hot glue & gun
Twine or ribbon
Here are the screen shots from Silhouette Studio. I resized the file to my liking.
Berries
Leaves
Chocolate
Here are the pieces once cut.
Fold the strawberry along the perforations and fold into place, gluing the short tab to the petal.
I tied a knot in my twine and then fed the twine through the petals of the strawberry.
Here’s a shot showing the twine through all the petals.
Gently but firmly pull tight.
And secure with a little dab of hot glue.
Slide the large petal down over the twine and then the smaller petal, securing with a dab of hot glue.
Then fold the chocolate piece along the perorations, fold to create the final shape and glue the tab in place. Then put a few dabs of hot glue on the inside of the chocolate shape and place over the point part of the strawberry, be sure to line up the corners.
And there you have it, almost good enough to eat!
The three of these take approximately 20 mins to make.
A great craft while watching a bit of TV.
These would make great favours too, try putting a couple of Valentine treats inside!
