I love to send unique treats to my kids classrooms for Valentines Day, I know all the little girls in my sons grade 2 class will love these Valentine Treat Boxes and even my daughters grade 6 friends will too.
Here are the supplies I used.
12 x 12 sheets of kraft card stock
various rubber stamps
ink pad
fine tip marker
glue dots
embellishments like twine & buttons
I used my silhouette to cut these boxes, here’s the file. I sized it to fit 3 boxes on one sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock.
Once cut I used my favourite valentine rubber stamps and stamped the boxes.
On this one I added “You’re Just My TYPE” on the typewriter paper with a fine tip marker.
The cut boxes are perforated where you need to fold, it is super easy. Once you fold along the perforations you’ll see exactly how the box fits together.
I used these awesome glue dots that I picked up to close the treat boxes, below you can see where I placed the first glue dot. I just used as many as I needed until the box was put together.
Now the box is ready for treats.
How about sticks of gum, candy hearts or jelly beans?
Here’s the back of one of the boxes. I added a pretty button and twine which is attached with the glue dots.
Embellish as much or as little as you like.
Switch it up and make the boxes using a patterned or floral cardstock.
Enjoy!
