Did you keep your Valentine’s as a kid? Do you keep the cards your spouse gives you?

I am a pack rat for memories. I don’t have any of my childhood valentines but I sure do hold on to the ones my kids have received over the years. Neatly tucked away in their Ziploc baggies labeled by year. I do keep all the cards my spouse has given me over the years too – the pile is getting pretty big. But we have slacked off on cards a little lately – there are definite gaps for certain occasions.

Valentine’s is not usually one of them however, this year I thought I’d make a homemade valentine for the hubs – well, kinda for me too because technically I could keep this up all year round in my craft room.

This is my Valentine to him…

A Simple Valentine, Framed.

I cut these cute arrow sayings with my Silhouette and placed them inside a double sided glass frame.

And I added a small bunting of heart shaped doilies and red stripped bakers twine.

Simple and to the point.

I have to say, it’s adorable. And every day when I walk past it it’s a cute reminder of everything you feel but perhaps don’t get a chance to say everyday .

And those little heart shaped doilies really remind me of  baby owls peeking out at you – too sweet!
