Pom Pom Bookmarks

I made these pom pom bookmarks as part of the party favours for my daughters birthday party earlier this month. All the supplies you need are a ball of yarn, a pair of scissors and your hands!

My yarn was medium weight.

Starting with the top picture, using medium weight yarn, wind yarn, slightly loose, around 3 fingers a total of 50 times. Gently slide off of your fingers. Cut a 15 inch length of wool and lay on a flat surface, place looped yarn on the length of wool {closer to one end than the other} and then tie the length over the looped yarn, cut the short end of the 15” length, the other end will be the tail of your bookmark.

Cut through all the loops and continue to trim the shaggy yarn into a ball shape, be careful not to cut the tail.

All done! This is a very quick craft and you can use all types of yarn, perhaps a lighter weight for a tighter and less fuzzy pom pom. Experiment, you’ll love the results!

These are so soft and fluffy you’ll be fiddling with it while you’re reading for sure!

  10. I made book spine bookmarks and they are going to marry your pom pom bookmarks and I’m going to make girly ones since the ones I made were for a boy. But I’m a girl, and I want a pom pom.
